This One Day workshop at the beautiful eco-friendly Sli na Bande retreat in Wicklow will help you to:

  • Reset and open up your body, ease any tension and pain you may have
  • Reconnect and have greater body awareness
  • Learn how to de-stress, breathe better, relax more for a restful night sleep

    Teach you simple movements you can easily use at home to alleviate pains or aches and strengthen your body

You will start the day with gentle Somatic Movements to help you easing tension and smooth out movement in the lower back,chest and hip joints.

Followed with a Animal Flow Movement session which uses more extensive, invigorating, rotational movement patterns and improve neurological communication.

Somatic Movement Education is a gentle, mindful movement practice aiming to increase your breathing capacity, range of motion and refine your motor control by directly influencing your nervous system functions.

Animal Flow Movement is a dynamic and fun / playful movement that reconnects all your limb and mind together helping you to strengthen the whole body. It improves your stability for every day tasks, but also for athletes/gym goer who are looking to increase stamina, strength and fitness level.

Every session will focus on increasing your mobility as well as aiming to calm the nervous system, making you leave feeling restored and relaxed.

Suitable to everyone of health and fitness level (you need to be able to get onto the floor and up again.

Sli na Bande is about 35mins drive from Dublin to Newtown Mount Kennedy. Alternatively, you can arrive by Bus Eireann (133 on Georges quay) and a short walk. Car pooling can be organised.
